Why sell online?

The ecommerce market is huge and increasingly web savvy consumers are going online to find the best prices. A webstore is a 24/7 shopfront and allows you to sell nationwide or even worldwide. There are a huge number of reasons you should consider selling your products and services online...

Ecommerce Startups
For new companies, an online webstore could prove much cheaper to set up and maintain than an expensive shop front, staff and mail-order catalogues. Lower initial outlay, lower ongoing expenses, a wider reach and 24-7 opening hours: a winning combination.

Expanding Businesses
If you're already running a business selling products or services offline from a shopfront, setting up an online store can work seamlessly alongside your existing operations by either integrating with or replacing your stock and order management process.

Store Administration
Ecommerce stores have integrated stock, product, order and customer management systems which allow you to keep on top of the day to day running of your business from anywhere in the world via an easy-to-use online admin management system. List and delist products at the touch of a button - not something that's easy to do with a traditional printed mail order catalogue!

Customer Confidence & Compliance

Security on the internet is a constant concern and something that is very much in the minds of the online buying public. To gain the trust and confidence of a visitor to your webstore, the website must display a strong brand, professional look and show that online payments are taken safely and securely.

The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance rules are a set of regulations that are a requirements for websites that store, process or transmit Credit and Debit cardholder data. The particular level of compliance that your site must meet fall into one of four categories;

Level 1 - over 6 million annual transactions
Level 2 - between 150,000 and 6 million annual transactions
Level 3 - between 20,000 and 150,000 transactions
Level 4 - less than 20,000 annual transactions

Price Guide

My prices are competitive and completely depend on the website's size and level of functionality. My hourly rate is £40/hr which is based upon my experience so quotes are calculated on how that long I anticipate a project to take.

Why are other web designers cheaper or more expensive?
You can read more on pricing in my Price Guide blog post >.
